It was so hot here today! And so worth the trip.
Courtney came along with Tricia and I. The event we came to attend was banding hummingbirds. Can you imagine that we actually saw them holding hummingbirds in their hands and weighing them and taking all kinds of measurements? Then they let them go. The birds are on their way to Central America for the winter. They expect to learn quite a bit through this study. Apparently they tagged at least 73 birds today. Amazing!
The gardens themselves are stunning. The pictures only just begin to tell the story.
