Today was the second time I have been called to serve as a juror. However, today, I didn’t even make it to voir dire (jury selection). Since they keep the courtroom as well as the jurors quarters between 60 and 65 degrees, my two shirts and jacket were hardly sufficient to keep me from freezing. I went outside at both opportunities to thaw.
That is the whole story for the experience, because around noon the judges had everyone they needed and the rest of us were sent home with thanks and a promise that no summons would appear for at least another year.
