Last week, we found out that our dear friend, Diane Heyman was in the hospital in Pilar, Buenos Aires. Presidente Heyman serves as the mission president in Resistencia and we met them in the MTC. We were shocked to find out that she had a stroke and had been brought here.
Austral is a beautiful hospital and it was a joy to see our friends again. We only wish it was in different circumstances.
Imagine our surprise when Brianna was struck with an amazing stomach ache and we ended up at the Austral Hospital for an unplanned visit. Imagine Presidente Heyman’s surprise when we told him we were downstairs in the Emergency Clinic and asked if he would help Doug give Brianna a blessing.
Brianna has two cysts removed. Originally, the plan was to remove one, however, during surgery, they realized that the one they were removing was not causing the problem, even though it was the size of a tennis ball. The problem was with a slightly smaller one that had burst. Thankfully, she is rid of both of them now, which the doctor told us that she has probably been carrying around for years.
Brianna has been in the hospital since Monday and Diane has been there about ten days now. They both get to leave today! Diane will continue therapy at a nearby facility and Brianna will be resting at home for the next week.

We hope Brianna is fully recovered. What fun to have Chez and her beautiful family with you!
