the trading posts at legoland

tumblr_nazeevHCIY1rir6lho1_1280

As Elliot pointed out, it was definitely a stretch for the theme, however, we went to the Trading Posts at Legoland and traded our mini-figures.

by Elliot:

The main part we went there was because Nana bought us each a mini figure to trade. Just about all the employees have another mini fig. On their shirt so we could go on rides and then trade if we had one. I traded 7 times witch was the most, and i ended up with a sheriff with a hat, gun and tiny legs.DSC09939

Moccasins were an essential for all Indians at the Birdhouse and we stitched our own!

Later an arrowhead collector came to the house to share his collection and his knowledge about the Indians that lived in our part of Florida.

birdhouse reservation

DSC05910[5]_edited-1

Let grandkid camp begin! This year’s theme was Birdhouse Reservation. First we read Knots on a Counting Rope.

Then all of us got Seminole Shirts and we painted them and our headbands with our Indian names. DSC09917

the fourth

The main business of today was a water balloon fight.

Once the sun went down, we had fun with glow sticks and sparklers. The neighborhood put on quite an (illegal) show. But we enjoyed it all!

Well, some of us did anyway...
