Our 8 hour drive home turned into 11 hours when we had problems in all three states we were traversing. First, Doug missed the turnoff in South Carolina and didn't realize it, so that we ended up going almost all the way to Charleston. Next, there was road work going on in George and we went 6 miles an hour for about an hour. When we finally made it to Florida, the I-95 was shut down in Jacksonville and we had to detour to the 295. We prayed for safety when we left. I don't know if we were incredibly unlucky or if we were being protected....
However, my heart is full of gratitude today that we are safely home.
