field trip

DSC03301

We went to a pioneer plantation in Barberville.

And learned about Seminole Indians.

I, personally, was not a huge fan of this field trip, but I did enjoy a quick visit into the only original-to-the-site structure on the premises...a high school built in 1910 and used until 1940, when it was changed into an elementary school. I think there were 5 classrooms and a cafeteria. The architecture was great and the wood floors were still in fabulous condition.
