road trip day 2

Today we went to the historic part of Jacksonville, called Avondale. In the early 1900's many prominent citizens built large mansions along the river. Riverside became a laboratory for aspiring architects and competing residential fashions. Today the neighborhood has the largest variety of architectural styles in Florida. We loved driving through the neighborhood and checking out the beautiful houses. We also had fun checking out some of the the boutiques!
Stephanie was absolutely enamored with these plasma bikes. I couldn't imagine how much fun there were until I tried one myself!
Then we went to...
We weren't allowed to take pictures inside the galleries. But we took a bunch of pictures in the gardens. After our very own guided tour, we went upstairs to a place they called the Art Connection. There were tons of fun artsy kind of activities to try. Dancing on this screen was a favorite.
And Sarah immortalized our experience with her virtual paintbrush.

Their faces tell how much fun they are having. I love Stephanie on the bike and her baby bump. Thank you Sis. Carter.
